MAKE LOOK GOOD

RA&A

What do you call a logo competition where Richard Taylor and Michael Gibson are working together?

OVER.

Soooo, with nothing to lose, I may have done the best thing I ever did at ABELS.

I gladly gave it to Con, and it adorned his office during Star Trek:TMP, though even he doesn't know where it is now.*

I wasn't done with Moonwatcher (or is it the other way around?), and the World Riddle moment ended up as CD art for The Book Of Mirda; a pre-Y2K solo Mind Pirate project, with Moonwatcher himself the obvious choice for Man Of The Year in 2001 itself.

*Though re-created here (from scratch / no scratch), the original featured Jerome Agel's Moonwatcher at the LOW C moment he discovers tool use. It seemed so obvious that replacing the bone with a CLIO was the perfect metaphor for ABELS.

Wonder became weaponry however, and even replacing Kubrick's bone with my Flying V that I used to play at 2 AM in the stairwell, couldn't keep TIME magazine from choosing Rudy Giuliani instead.

GIULIANI!#@!

From SHIFT HAPPENS (DOMINION):

"Once again, Stanley Kubrick; a Holy Man of a different time, showed us the inevitable destruction that follows a weighted object in the wrong hand. Homo Satiens finally found a tree tall enough and got to the Moon, but that first murder at the water hole still follows us no matter how we ignore the problems that have been with us since the Dawn of Man."

Coming Soon: HBO*

*31 years later, I meet at the Solamar DOA Reunion. It is at his request, and in support of his efforts to document and share the stories that still conjure the ABEL magic, that I offer RA&A - in the hopes that others whose stories may be better than mine - will do the same.

Special thanks to Tom Beattie (who would have fit right in at ABELS) for hosting herofx.com

He was there at the beginning (CO) and I think he'll be there at the end.
