I am an Artist fighting the ART WARS which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to keep others from giving their lives in their defense until there is no threat. No more enemies foreign or domestic. Especially domestic.

I have free will and will never give up, never surrender. If in command, as I have been, I will never betray the members of my command while they still have the means to resist. If I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape all prisons and aid others to do the same. I will accept neither compromise nor diversion from those who seek only to profit from my failure and all those working as I do.

If captured, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will remain ready to do so while obeying the lawful orders of those appointed over me backing them up in every way until the job is done.

When questioned by those with only their best interests at heart, I will do what is necessary to show them a better way. I will answer any question to the utmost of my ability while making no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause.

I will never forget that I am an American, responsible for my actions, dedicated to the principles which made my country great, and free to answer the question: "Free for what?". I will trust in myself and in the United States of America which allows Artists to snatch Victory from the jaws of defeat, turn crisis into opportunity, and certain death into another chance, in the battle for men's minds.

Every day. Sometimes twice.

I am you. You are Me. WE ARE ALL TOGETHER.

Or the short version: "You are way out of line. I'd advise you not to try and foist your view of morality on anybody else in this group. Each man here has volunteered to do a job. Each man here is devoting long hours of training to prepare for it, and doing many things above and beyond the strict call of duty, such as... and foregoing any semblance of an orderly family life. As long as a man uses good sense, what he does with his zipper or his wick is his own business!"

WHICH LEADS TO: "Dear Lord, please don't let me fuck up."

Still, the only way to work.
